Tom Brady’s Chunky Guacamole recipe is one of the champion quarterback’s go-to recipes—and one that your whole family is guaranteed to enjoy as you watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs square off in the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
Last summer, the quarterback released his book, The TB12 Method: How to Do What You Love, Better and for Longer. Inside the pages is a wealth of information about the top athlete’s strategies for peak performance. His TB12 diet include white flour or sugar, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, MSG, eggplant, dairy or coffee. Luckily, all of the MVP ingredients you know (and love) in guacamole are allowed. TB12 Chunky Guac is full of healthy fats, potassium for energy, and vitamins B and C (thanks to avocado, garlic, and onion). Other supporting players include lemon or lime juice and zest, Himalayan salt, and basil. While scooping up a bite (or two) with tortilla chips may seem like a guaranteed touchdown, Brady recommends using veggie sticks or sweet potato toast instead. This play provides you with more fiber, minerals, and vitamins for a second half energy boost.
Here is the full list of ingredients you’ll need to pick up at the grocery store:
