This Weekend in The Magic City
I hope you’re hungry, because a full weekend of food ahead with the St. Elias Lebanese Food + Cultural Festival, Friday-Saturday, June 11-12. This year’s event offers food via drive-through and takeout only. There will also be a silent auction and virtual entertainment at stelias.org. For incredible eats like baked kibbee + spinach pie, head to St. Elias Maronite Catholic on 8th Street South in Birmingham between 10AM + 7PM.
Show your PRIDE
It’s PRIDE Month and events are taking place all June long. Kick off the most colorful celebration of them all with the Together We Rise Central Alabama Pride Fest. The festivities take place on Saturday, June 12 in Avondale’s Entertainment District and features live entertainment, drag, food + drinks and PRIDE for the whole fam. Check it out from 10AM-7PM.

Birmingham’s 2nd Ave is the place to be this Saturday, June 19 from 11AM-8PM with Eat in the Street + The Birmingham Art Crawl. You’ll find everything you need to create, design and build the LEGO creations of your dreams. Psst! The event features a MEGA jump ramp so you can build a LEGO car and test its skills.

The Dance Foundation performs Tiny Dances at The Pizitz Food Hall on Saturday, June 12. Live performances include a variety of genres like contemporary ballet and hip hop to classical Indian dance and dance theater. While there, view an installation featuring a 20-minute film of dance works by local choreographers. Performance times: 7-8PM + 8:30-9:30PM. Admission is FREE.
